Google has a history of naming its each android version after desserts: Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean. But now Google chosen a popular chocolate name.
It was earlier thought that the next version of Android would be called Key Lime Pie which is another sweet dessert but we don’t exactly know how Google chose KitKat over Key Lime Pie.
“This is not a money-changing-hands kind of deal,” John Lagerling, director of Android global partnerships, told the BBC.
The deal between Google and KitKat is rather coss-promotional. Android is naming its next version ‘KitKat 4.4’ and on the other hand, KitKat is giving a chance to win Google Nexus Tablet and Google Play credit, as you can see in the image above.
